Back for good this time…

So I’m finally done with my story which consumed a lot of my time and distracted me from blogging here.

I  started writing May 26th 2008 and yesterday November 4th I finally finished, I wrote 20 parts and these 20 parts accumulated over 1,000 comments, and I got over 70,000 blog hits.

I feel like a part of me is missing, I miss the characters :|

I’m starting something new, well I already started, hopefully that should be getting published, I was trying to do the story I blogged but I had problems with copyrighting and stuff like that because it was posted on the internet and you can’t copyright something posted online, blah blah blah… So here I am, finally back… Missed this place!!!

Food…

Beef stroganoff

Chicken Curry

Mahchi malfouf

Those are the three dishes of the day… Sounds tempting, my carrots, water and milk shake will do thank you very much

Yalla guys! I need more suggestions for halloween otherwise I’m gonna go as a grape, not sexy at all…

I’m lucky I’m in love with my best friend

I went out on my lunch break yesterday to grab a sandwich, I was driving on the gulf road, beside shuwaikh beach, there was a car beside me and out of the blue the idiot decides to turn, imagine, he was right next to me, as in my window was in line with his window, so he turns, breaks my side mirror, completly pushes my door in, and I’m in the middle of the street, cars zooming past me and I couldn’t drive and park cos I couldn’t see out of my mirror, so I eventually waited for the cars to pass and made my way to the side of the pavement.

We waited for the police who made us follow him to the Salhia Police Station where we sat aimlessly for 45 minutes, none of them wanted to work, there was about 20 of them with cigarettes in their mouths. After almost an hour, the mu7aqek (inspector… I think) walks in, inevitably with a cigarette in his hand and asks me where did you have the accident, I told him at the traffic light after the turn for Sheraton… And he says “Aha… Well sorry, mu tabe3 lina, lazem troo7een el Shamiya” (We can’t take care of it here, you have to go to Shamiya)
I was thinking Oh Jesus, why didn’t any of you tell me this an hour ago… But I smile politely and say thank you. So I go to Shamiya, with the idiot who crashed into me, we get there and after bickering and loya the guy gives in, and I end up having to pay to fix his car, mind you, it was his fault because I was going straight and he turned from the middle lane! But I wasn’t one to let him get fired and fix the company car at his expense, 7aram.

So Miranda or Matilda in D’s case has gone to get fixed. Will miss her

Oh and the song in the title is from Jason Mraz’s Album – It’s called Lucky, It’s the song I was listening to when I crashed… Just ruined it for me, again, the same reason I can’t listen to Madonna’s Like A Virgin

Confuseeeeeed

I don’t know what to be for halloween…. :( It’s driving me crazy

The greatest revelation of all

It all started when I was driving to work one morning, I looked at my hand and noticed that the ring that I always wear was not on my finger. I don’t remember taking it off because I NEVER take it off. Weird I thought as I carried on my day as normal.

The same day I went back home I found it on the floor where it had fallen off when I was getting dressed. So I put it on and noticed it was extremly loose on my finger. Later on, I met M who as usual is in awe at how much weight I’m losing, she took out her measuring tape and measured me and was in shock since all my measurements have gone down by an average of about 7 inches.

I don’t notice it on myself, and even when I do, I’m in denial. But when about 20 people tell me in one day that I’ve lost weight, it’s undeniable that I have.

So in a nutshell I’ve lost quite a bit which I’m extremly happy about. A few more KG and I’ll be ecstastic!

Transition phase one – almost over

A day in the life of… Part 1

Rasha: Where is Puerto Rico?
Sunshine: Isn’t it in Mexico?
Mona: No you idiots! It’s in Portugal!
Sunshine: YOU’RE the idiot! It’s in Mexico
Mona: Eeeee 9a7, mu Portugal it’s in Brazil…

As Homer Simpson would say:

Ready for an adventure… Waiting for the yellow brick road

The past month has been a chaos of running around, last minute travelling and a few more things that are best left in the closet.

  • As my previous post, go figure that I went completly mad and dyed my hair black, well blue black
  • I went to Istanbul for a couple of days and absolutly fell in love with this city, with all the congestion, fumes, people that don’t speak english. I’m just in love with the country and looking for universities there
  • I’m writing a novel and I just wanted to know if anyone knows of publishers in Kuwait, that would be great!
  • It’s my birthday soon and I’m still skeptical as to what I want to ask my parents for… These are my choices
    - The new macbook
    - A new Crackberry ‘cos mine is driving me nuts, all my messages, pictures, songs, call log… Everything got deleted! And a few trips to the beach didn’t help at all, the phone is filled with sand!
    - I just bought a sony digital camera but my heart still yearns for the Nikon D50
    - A ticket to Beirut
    - Or just some money and I can buy a few things…
  • Does Anyone know where I can find coloured plexiglass that can be cut into a specific shape? And please don’t say anywhere in Shuwaikh!

That’s all for now!
You’ve ALL been truly missed but I assure you I have kept myself updated with 3baid’s very useful updates on the blogosphere

Hello world!

Out with the old in with the new, Sunshine is going through a transition, and I thought why not have a new blog that comes along with this transformation?

Before                                        After

So the hair is gone… And a few more things, and people…
